Privacy Policy
Starnight Story LLC, trading as AI METER, is responsible for the personal information we handle as described here. Source photos and processed results in our control are deleted seven days after completion of a photo order.
1. Information we handle
When you place an order or contact us, we handle your email address, selected services, workspace duration or photo quantity, amounts, currency, payment reference and status, delivery information, and support messages. When you provide photos for processing, we handle those files, any embedded metadata, your editing instructions, and the results. Photographs may contain identifiable people or other personal information.
Our hosting and service providers may receive technical data such as IP address, browser information, request timestamps, and security logs. Workspace connection and disconnection records are used to account for purchased time.
2. Local previews are not uploads
Selecting photographs in the website's file picker creates a preview in your browser. That selection alone does not send the images to AI METER or start processing. After a paid order, we email instructions for providing the originals. We receive photos only when you send them using those instructions. Closing or reloading the page may clear your local selection.
3. Why we use information
- To accept an order, deliver remote access or process your photographs, and send the result.
- To answer support requests, correct service problems, and handle cancellations, refunds, or disputes.
- To secure the service and prevent misuse or fraud.
- To keep necessary accounting records and meet legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, these activities rely on performing our contract, complying with legal duties, or legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. Optional uses that require consent depend on that consent. We do not sell personal information or use your checkout email for unrelated marketing without consent. Your order gives permission to process photos for fulfillment, not to publish them in our portfolio or advertising.
4. Payments
When payment is available, the payment provider processes card and payment details on its checkout page under its own privacy terms. AI METER receives the order and payment-status information needed to fulfill and support the purchase, not your full card number or card security code. Do not send card details by email.
5. Remote workspaces and AI providers
Remote sessions run on an AI METER server, where you sign in to the selected AI provider using your own account. AI METER does not supply an AI account. Your prompts, files, results, and conversation history may be processed or stored on the remote server and in your provider account, subject to this policy and the provider's applicable privacy settings and terms. Never share your password with support. Sign out of the AI tool before ending your session. Disconnecting stops the timer and generation, but does not itself sign you out or delete files or history.
Photo processing may use third-party AI tools and infrastructure to handle the submitted images and produce the result. Their privacy, retention, and model-improvement rules can differ from ours. We do not promise that every provider excludes all inputs from training, or that our deletion schedule controls independent provider records. Ask support about the tool and its data handling before submitting sensitive material. Do not provide data you are not authorized to share.
6. Other service providers and disclosures
The website is hosted on Vercel, loads fonts from Google Fonts, and requests currency reference rates from ExchangeRate-API. These services receive the technical information needed to handle browser requests. Support email is forwarded through ImprovMX to a Google Gmail inbox. Hosting, email, payment, and AI providers receive information necessary for their respective services. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or security, or to resolve a payment dispute.
7. Retention and security
Photo orders: we delete source photographs and completed results in our control seven days after completion. Download and save the result within that window. That schedule does not include order, payment, or support records that must be kept separately, or independent provider records governed by their own policies. If you need earlier deletion, or want to remove files from a cancelled job, contact support.
Other records: we retain order, connection, and support records only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or disputes. Necessary evidence may be retained when a legal obligation or active dispute requires it. We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security. Limit personal metadata and sensitive information in files you submit.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent for optional processing. You may also contact the privacy regulator responsible for your location.
9. International processing and age
Starnight Story LLC is a United States company, and service providers may process information in other countries. Applicable protections and transfer requirements depend on your location and the provider. Our purchasing service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. If a photograph contains a minor, the customer must have appropriate authority and consent to submit it.
